We had a Mystery Skype today with Mrs. Carnes' class in Dallas, TX. They are in a K-5 school with 150 students in the entire school. We have that many students just in our grade level. Wow! Their school is called Momentous Institute.
We had students using TodaysMeet to connect with Mrs. Carnes' class. We also used a site called padlet, like an online sticky note board. :) A few students tweeted, and one took pictures with the iPad. Our researchers did not have as much to do this time, but they will be valuable when we have questions in future Mystery Skypes. This job is also helpful to look up information about their city and school.
This was the first time Mrs. Carnes' class did a Mystery Skype. We hope they had fun despite the issues with sound. We added a Sign Holder, a School Facts Sharer and Manager job this time. All three jobs were seen as valuable and should continue.
Finally, we were surprised that their temperature was only in the 30s. However, ours is below zero, so 30 would be nice. Thanks to Mrs. Carnes' class. Now we know students in Texas!
